Sky Mavis, the developer behind the popular blockchain game Axie Infinity, has accused Seed Go—a Sui-powered game—of intellectual property infringement. Alexander Larsen, cofounder of Axie Infinity and Sky Mavis, publicly called out the project, stating it unlawfully uses elements from Axie Infinity’s IP. The dispute centers on Seed Go’s "Seedmon" NFTs, which bear resemblance to Axie’s characters.

Larsen tagged Mysten Labs cofounders and the sui team in a social media post, urging them to address the issue promptly. Sky Mavis confirmed it has notified the Sui team and seeks an out-of-court resolution. Seed Go is part of the "Seed Combinator" gaming platform, featuring breedable NFT characters that Sky Mavis claims are derivative of its own designs.
